Andy will continue to show us how to gather performance-tuning data, review of the SQL Server Internals, which wait stats should be collected and how to use them to increase performance.
As in Part 1, the why of “it Depends” is always a good starting point and where to look for setup areas to check / review. Andy will show us where SQL Server hides its information and how we can use it efficiently to improve performance.
Andy is one of our FWSSUG officers and is about the most enthusiastic supporter of education for the SQL community. He is always the first to volunteer his support in any SQL Saturday event, and is always ready to help teach and mentor anyone who asks.
Andy keeps us focused and driving toward education with pure intent. If you want to see this guy get passionately animated, let him start talking about his business intelligence initiatives or educating the community.
Andy has end to end expertise in Data Architecture, Statistical Analysis, BIML, SQL Server 2008 through 2016 and the full Microsoft BI stack, and thrives in solving complex business problems. He holds Graduate Certifications from SMU in both Analytics and Marketing and earned his MBA from the University of Dallas.
Freese and Nichols graciously host our group once a month at their Fort Worth location. We’re on the ground floor in their beautiful training center. Follow the tile hallway to the left of the reception desk as you walk in the front doors.
